The best way to handle damages or rejected goods is by creating a separate "warehouse" and transferring into that warehouse every time goods are damaged or repaired.
From the dashboard go to Warehouses, and click Add warehouse
Enter the warehouse information, with "Damages" as name, and "Parent" set as none. This way goods are not linked to the main warehouse. Then save.
